M27 - The Dumbbell Nebula

Date: 22 June 2008
Location: My back garden in suburban London. Ambient temp 16C.
Exposure: 24 x 5 min at ISO800
Telescope: Celestron C11 with F6.3 focal reducer on Skywatcher EQ6 mount.
Camera: Modified Canon EOS 300D
Guiding: Nikkor 300mm lens with unmodified SPC900 webcam
Filters: Astronomik CLS filter
Processing: Stacking and mild Gaussian deconvolution (in IRIS). Scaled by 2/3 and cropped.
Comments: This is my first image taken with a modified EOS 300D. The modification is a new filter to let through more of the red Hygrogen-alpha wavelength.
