Mercury - 40 minutes after sunset

Date: 11 May 2008
Location: My back garden in suburban London
Exposure: 60 frames of 0.2sec
Telescope: Celestron C11 on Skywatcher EQ6 mount
Camera: Philips SPC900 webcam - eyepiece projection using a 15mm eyepiece.
Guiding: Unguided
Filters:
Processing: 60 frames of 0.2sec stacked in Registax then RGB registered.
Comments: This is a crop of a single 0.2sec frame (very pretty!) and then the result of 60 frames stacked and RGB registered in Registax (very plain!). Mercury was approximately 10deg above the horizon. I had to image this across the heat haze of London.
